Foragespot app aims to address social and environmental issues, including:

• Re-connecting people with nature and the abundance of produce growing throughout the countryside and urban settings;

• Reducing dependence on supermarkets and imported food; shortening and localising the supply chain and reducing food miles and carbon foot-print;

• Reducing packaging, especially single-use plastics;

• Improving nutritional awareness with info about seasonal food, cooking and eating things readily and freely available to us; and

• Tackling food poverty by signposting to free sources of nutritious food.

  Our app can also pinpoint other locations such as tourist destinations, sightseeing activities, and habitats.
